Cumbria County Council will be carrying out essential highway maintenance work on A69 Warwick Road, Carlisle, starting in April.
Works to improve and widen junctions at Eastern Way and Montgomery Way on to Warwick Road in Carlisle have been ongoing since July 2018.
The next phase of the Warwick Road Junction Improvement Scheme will begin on Monday (10 September) and motorists in Carlisle are being advised to expect some disruption and plan ahead.
Following extensive public consultation, work will begin to improve the junctions at Montgomery Way and Eastern Way in Carlisle on Monday 9 July.
Following a meeting with local residents last night, a way forward for proposed changes to the road layout on Warwick Road has been identified.
Cumbria County Council has received £4.6m from the Department for Transport to improve its highway network as part of the National Productivity Investment Fund (NPIF).
