Cumbria Flood - Important Update on Donations

Cumbria Foundation donations

Cumbria County Council and all its partners have been overwhelmed by the sheer number of kind offers of support and collectively all the agencies and charities involved want to thank everyone who has been kind enough to donate.

There have been many generous offers which are already being distributed to those in need and to help local people and businesses.

But as we move forward we now need to take a new approach.

1. Making a financial donation to the Cumbria Flood Appeal:

Money can be donated by bank transfer, over the phone, online or by cheque.

To make a bank transfer, the details are:

  • A/C name: Cumbria Community Foundation

  • A/C number: 32152967, sort code: 40-16-22

  • Please put ‘Flood’ in the reference box

To pay over the phone please call 01900 825760 (office hours) 9am - 5pm.

To donate online, please visit their BT My Donate fundraising page or Just Giving.

Please make cheques payable to Cumbria Community Foundation with ‘Cumbria Flood Appeal’ on the back. Please send to Cumbria Community Foundation, Dovenby Hall, Dovenby, CA13 0PN.

To donate over the phone please call the office on 01900 825760.

2. Sadly we no longer require donations of the following second hand electrical equipment, clothes, shoes or bedding.

3. We do still need new de-humidifiers, ‘cup drinks (sachets of drinks), cleaning products, safety equipment (including masks, gloves etc.), new electrical equipment, new toiletries and free Time from any tradesmen who would like to donate would still be very much appreciated.

Donate to PPC.EmergencyOffersofSupport@Cumbria.gov.uk.
