A grant of £750 from Eden Local Committee’s Waste Prevention Grant to Cumbria Action for Sustainable Communities has enabled a “Nappicino” real nappy coffee morning, Love Food Hate Waste awareness session and Repair Caf to be part of the Greenprint festival in Alston (18-22 September).

Cllr David Whipp, Chair of Eden Local Committee said:

“Eden Local Committee has a modest resource to support the district in terms of grant giving so it is important that we consider these projects carefully and provide good value to the people of Eden. I’m delighted that we have been able to help these worthwhile initiatives and would encourage any groups who are involved in community events to make contact and to see what the committee can do to help.”
