Cumbria Local Nature Partnership, which is hosted by Cumbria Wildlife Trust, has been awarded a grant from the Government’s £40 million second round of the Green Recovery Challenge Fund, a multi-million pound boost for green jobs and nature recovery.
This month from 18 to 26 September, organisations, communities and individuals across the country will come together for Great Big Green Week, a national climate action campaign.

Cumbria County Council’s Cabinet have today unanimously agreed the Council’s first Carbon Management Strategy which sets out how they will respond to the international, national and regional aspiration to achieve a low/net zero carbon economy by 2050.
Yesterday at a meeting of Full Council in Kendal, Cumbria County Councillors unanimously supported a motion “to become a ‘carbon neutral’ county and to mitigate the likely impact of existing climate change".
